Empowering youth & building champions on and off the field!

Mission Statement

The mission of the Southtowne Stallions Football and Cheer Program is to “Put the kids 1st”. We strive to encourage student athletes development by providing opportunities for personal and athletic growth. The Southtowne Stallions promote sportsmanship, self-esteem, and the development of life skills through engaging student athletes in football and cheerleading, while providing a safe and healthy environment, allowing the youth of Lansing and its surrounding communities, the chance to learn the fundamentals of these great sports.

Philosophy

By explaining, demonstrating, and using repetitive drills, our coaches will focus on proper body positions and proper fundamentals.  Our coaches will focus on developing high self-esteem and confidence by believing in our student athletes and giving them positive reinforcement.

Purpose

By becoming apart of the Southtowne Stallions Youth Football and Cheer Program, student athletes will experience:

  • An improvement of self -esteem and self discipline
  • A renewed respect for authority
  • A respect and concern for others through sportsmanship
  • An inclination to give 100% effort to all endeavors
  • A respect for teamwork, team spirit and building friendships

What is a Stallion?

Stallion is a male horse that has not been gelded (castrated). Stallions follow the confirmation of phenotype of their breed, but within that standard, the presence of hormones such as testosterone may give Stallions a thicker, “cresty” neck, as well as a somewhat more muscular physique as compared to other horses.

We are The Stallions.
